No predefined columns needed — ProPivot reads your headers/keys and infers each field's type: numbers aggregate; ISO dates (YYYY-MM-DD) drill Year › Month › Day.

  1. Open the Fields button in the grid toolbar (or use the field list), then drag a text field (e.g. Region) into Rows.
  2. Drag a number field (e.g. Sales) into Measures — it sums by default; click its column header ▾ to change the aggregation, format, or add conditional formatting.
  3. Drag another field into Columns to cross-tab, or into Report Filters to slice.
  4. Export to Excel / PDF / HTML / CSV from the toolbar — colors, currency, and percent formatting are preserved.
